At Funtime there is no pressure to purchase a specific uniform and dancewear is optional. However we understand that everyone wants to 'look the part' so have some recommendations here for you:
Tots and Preschool Dance Classes - children can wear anything they like providing they can move around easily. Dancewear is easily available in high street shops or we have listed some local dancewear supplies below. We often have princesses and pirates in our class so if your Tot wants to dress up they are very welcome! All children dance in bare feet in our Tots Dance classes with the option to wear ballet shoes.
Ballet - Girls should wear a short sleeved leotard (pale pink) and short skirt with boys wearing white tshirts and dark coloured shorts. We recommend that all pupils wear satin, canvas or leather ballet shoes. These must be secured with a drawstring and have elastic attached. All good dancewear stockists can advise you on the correct fit or ask the class teacher for advice. When attending a trial lesson you are welcome to dance in bare feet.
Tap - any coloured leotard with leggings, tights or shorts. Tap shoes are essential once you join a class but you can wear a sturdy shoe, such as a school shoe, for your trial lesson.
Street Dance & Mini Perfomers - Please wear something easy to move around in. Bare feet, dance sneakers or regular trainers can be worn.
We have provided details here of dancewear suppliers.
