At Funtime there is no pressure to purchase a specific uniform and dancewear is optional.
COVID regulations from September 2020 - DANCE SHOES MUST BE WORN BY ALL PUPILS AT ALL CLASSES.
Please change into these for the class as no outdoor shoes are to be worn.
We understand that everyone wants to 'look the part' so have some recommendations here for you:
Tots and Preschool Dance Classes - children can wear anything they like providing they can move around easily. Dancewear is easily available in high street shops or we have listed some local dancewear supplies below. We often have princesses and pirates in our class so if your little dancer wants to dress up they are very welcome! All children must wear ballet shoes in class. Trial lesson pupils are welcome to wear a soft shoes such as a plimsoll for their first lesson.
Ballet - Girls should wear a short sleeved leotard (pale pink) and short skirt with boys wearing white tshirts and dark coloured shorts. All pupils must wear satin, canvas or leather ballet shoes. These must be secured with a drawstring and have elastic attached. All good dancewear stockists can advise you on the correct fit or ask the class teacher for advice. When attending a trial lesson you are welcome to dance in a soft shoe such as a plimsoll.
Tap - any coloured leotard with leggings, tights or shorts. Tap shoes are essential once you join a class but you can wear a sturdy shoe for your trial lesson.
Mini Perfomers - Please wear something easy to move around in. Dance sneakers or regular trainers can be worn - please change into these for the class as no outdoor shoes are to be worn.
We have provided details here of dancewear suppliers.
